Importance of Green Supply Chain Optimisation on SME Sustainability Performance

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in industries like manufacturing now need to use sustainable supply chains more effectively to boost their financial performance and solve environmental issues in fiercely competitive marketplaces. By evaluating previous research, this study investigates the connection between performance, environmentally responsible innovation, and cooperative efforts in the workplace. The goal is to identify the factors that influence the achievement of Indian manufacturing-based SMEs in green supply chain management (GSCM). The research determines that collaborative efforts in the environmental aspects of the supply chain have a significant impact on the ability of India’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector to develop innovative and environmentally friendly solutions. Furthermore, it finds that via environmental performance, the capacity for green innovation positively affects financial performance. In addition to offering a theoretical framework for a thorough analysis of the structural procedures connected to green supply chains, this paper suggests tactical avenues for small and medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMEs) to successfully adopt green supply chain management (GSCM).
