I am Dr. J. Balamurugan, an Associate Professor of Management Studies at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering (Affiliated to Anna University) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I hold a Doctorate in Management and an MBA from the Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed to be University, and I completed my National Post-Doctorate in Management there as well, funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in New Delhi for 2017-19. My academic credentials include an M.Phil. from Alagappa University, a Master of Commerce, and diplomas in Labor Management and Micro Finance. With 10 years of teaching and research experience, I’ve been a Research Assistant for a project on “A Study on Strategies of Innovative Teaching Methods in Management Education in Tamil Nadu,” funded by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). I am a Field Officer for a Tamil Nadu Government initiative titled “Impact of Special Incentive Scheme to Promote Literacy among Scheduled Caste Girls studying in Standards III to V and VII to VIII. I supervised four PhD candidates, published two books, 40 research papers, and presented at 186 events. Additionally, I have organized several conferences, seminars, and workshops.
